Boys:
typical styrian « Lederhose », (trousers made of leather, they are hand embroidered) white shirt, coloured tie and red coloured vest (silk or wool), green (“Ausseerhut”) hat, green or grey socks, black shoes and green jacket; (Green is the typical colour for the Styrian country.) These are the two types of our traditional dress. The so called “Sonntagstracht”(you can wear it every day of the week) and “Festtagstracht”(for Sundays and public holidays)
Girls:
Dirndl made of silk( different coloures), nearly to the ground; white slip and white trousers, white blouse, apron (different colours) black shoes and typical styrian cap ( for girls with long strings and women with short strings)
Type 1 (Eisenwurzen Festtagstracht)
Dirndl made of silk but the skirt is made of wool (different colours are possible) the length of the skirt reaches the lower leg, white slip and white trousers, white blouse, apron (different colours) black shoes and typical styrian cap. The girls also wear a fringed scarf over this Dirndl. Type 2 (Liesingtaler Sonntagstracht)
